Hilary Duff to Light Empire State Building

Hilary Duff will be in New York this Thursday to light the Empire State Building in a special event to honor the 24th annual AIDS Walk New York, of which Hilary is a part.
On Thursday, May 14th at Noon, the Empire State Building’s lights will glow red in honor of the world’s largest AIDS fundraising event. Hilary Duff will be leading a Lighting Ceremony in the lobby of the building at noon, for 15 minutes. The event will include throwing a prop switch to illuminate a scale model of the Building for members of the media. Hilary says:
“In tough times, it’s even more important for people to get involved. Everyone should find a cause they believe in whether it is something in your local community or something as big a global issue as AIDS.”
Hilary Duff will be co-hosting the AIDS Walk Opening Ceremony in Central Part on Sunday morning (May 17th) and will be walking for the event. You can watch her PSA for the AIDS Walk here.
Back in December, Hilary Duff had a chance to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange along with representatives of her Blessings in a Backpack Charity. This seems like the same sort of honor.
