Hilary Duff Slams Faye Back

Last week Faye Dunaway slammed Hilary Duff as a bad actress in relation to the casting news for The Story of Bonnie & Clyde, the new movie that Hilary Duff signed on for. Hilary Duff has now slammed back!
Hilary Duff was cast in the film’s lead role of Bonnie Parker, a role also held by Faye Dunaway in the 1967 film based on the true-life stories of Bonnie Parker & Clyde Barrow. However, the new movie is not a remake of the 1967 film - rather, it’s a re-interpretation of the lives of the notorious bank robbers. Nonetheless, Faye Dunaway seemed offended that Hilary got the role. She was quoted as saying:
”Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”
Hilary Duff was quoted, in response to Faye’s really rude remark, as saying:
“I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know…. I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.”
Go Hilary!! Hilary Duff used to have a great deal of respect for Faye Dunaway. In fact, a photoshoot for Allure Magazine last year had Hilary Duff dressed in homage to the actress and the 1967 Bonnie & Clyde film.
